We moved to Germany with the military in 2021 with our two kitties, a travel litterbox, and a few suitcases full of random things. Since living here, we have taken every opportunity to explore Europe and its surrounding countries.
The honest amount of hours I have poured into travel research, hacks, budget trips, and Google Maps is absurd, and I'll never tell you. Instead, many of our friends reach out and ask for tips and recommendations or plainly tell me to just create a blog already so they can read about it. Well, here we are, trying our best to make a blog—not having any clue on how to even make a website.
We will eventually embark on a six-month 'world tour,' as we call it, with just our backpacks in the fall of 2024. If it interests you to read about our past travels and keep in touch for our upcoming trip, please follow along! Sadly, the kitties do not love to travel like we do, so they will get spoiled by Grandpa until we return.

In cities, only plan ahead a max of two things to do per day. Leave time in your schedule to be spontaneous and always expect time to fly in between planned events. And as a rule: always eat before the tour!

Best tip to give others who want to travel?
Always learn a few pleasantries of the language—it goes a long way! Talk with the locals; they always have the best food, places to go, and secret corners where no one else goes. Always remember to embrace the place you are in and don't get lost in the hustle or next photo.
